The Queensland Heritage Rally is a biennial event. The inaugural event was held in Biloela 2004, the 2006 event was held in Toowoomba and the third event will be held in Rockhampton in 2008.
The 2008 QHR host organisations are Rockhampton Historical Village, Rockhampton City Council and Rockhamptom Tourism and Business Information.

"Leaping Lena"
In April 2006, The Rockhampton Heritage Village Staff and Volunteers travelled out to Blackall to collect "Leaping Lena", a 1924 Crosslet truck in need of some serious restoration! Leaping Lena now has a place in the Village workshop, where she will remain until fully restored, thus will be on display at the 2008 Heritage Rally.
